unusually complete Thylacoleo carnifex skull found in Victoria Fossil
Cave, Naracoorte, South Australia. The images shown are of a cast
replica of this famous specimen. Note the enormous, projecting upper
and lower incisor teeth, as well as the shearing, blade-like premolars.
A dentition of this particular type is completely unique to the family
Thylacoleonidae. Length (excluding matrix) - 230 mm. |
