is titled "Tiger Wolf and Wombat". It is from the first edition
of "The Instructive Picture Book - Lessons from the geographical distribution
of animals, or the natural history of the quadrupeds which characterise
the principal divisions of the globe.", published by Edmonston and
Douglas, 88 Princes Street, Edinburgh, 1860.
It was also featured (Plate
XXIV) in the book "Bilderwerke fur den
Anschauungsunterricht - Band VI (Wilde Thiere aller Zoner)" [Picture
works for Visual Instruction - Volume VI (Wild Animals of all Lands)],
published by Jakob F. Schreiber of Esslingen, Germany in 1882. |
